About CompareZone

CompareZone.ca exists because most Canadians are quietly overpaying for their phone plan — often by $15–40 a month — and the system is designed to keep it that way. Prices change constantly, promotions are hidden behind retention lines, and comparison is deliberately hard.

What we do differently

We're not trying to list every plan in Canada. Sites like PlanHub and WhistleOut already do that, and a wall of 700 plans doesn't actually help you decide. Instead we focus on three things:

  • Tools that do the math for you. Our "Am I overpaying?" analyzer compares your actual bill and data usage against current plans, including Quebec's cheaper pricing, and tells you what you'd save.
  • Prices we verify, with dates attached. Every plan on this site carries a "last verified" date. If we haven't checked it recently, you'll know.
  • Honest guidance, including when not to switch. We name the catch, list the cons, and tell you when calling your current carrier's retention line beats switching entirely.

How we stay independent

CompareZone earns nothing when you switch. We run no affiliate or referral links and take no payment for placement, so nothing on this site is ordered by what pays us — plans are ranked by what they cost and what you get. If we ever add affiliate links, we'll disclose them on every page that carries one. What we don't do is let it decide our rankings. Plans are ordered by what they cost and what you get — not by what pays us. Several carriers we recommend most often pay us nothing at all.

You can read the full details on our methodology page, or the formal commitments behind it on our editorial policy.

Who runs this

CompareZone is an independent Canadian project, not owned by or affiliated with any carrier. We're based in Canada and cover the Canadian market only — Bell, Telus, Rogers, their flanker brands (Fido, Koodo, Virgin Plus), and the value carriers (Public Mobile, Fizz, Freedom Mobile).

Found a wrong price?

Carrier pricing moves fast and we'd rather be corrected than wrong. If you spot a price that's out of date, tell us and we'll verify and update it.
